[Vlog] *Updated* My baby had ATOPIC DERMATITIS – with video and photos

 *Updated on May 12, 2020* Initially, we believed baby Jaze has Cradle Cap (Seborrheic Eczema/ Seborrheic Dermatitis) but we ruled this out because of the absence of yellowish bump with greasy patches or crusts. Jaze had “Infant Eczema / Atopic dermatitis” appears as irritated, red, dry, crusted patches on the skin. If the skin becomes infected, it may develop a wet (weeping) look.

Jaze’s rashes were in its last stages (when I first published this post). Some of it are gone now and are already less visible like in her scalp and forehead.

I didn’t have a photo of her scalp but it did have flaky bumps (not yellowish though) before the ones in her cheeks appeared.

UPDATE:

Because of the advice of a friend, I have contacted Jaze’s pediatrician today and she said that the dry and red scaly skin on her cheeks are not normal. I was advised to try Physiogel Dermo-Cleanser and Physiogel Calming Relief AI Cream.

I called hubby to buy them asap but yikes, pricey – Physiogel Dermo-Cleanser (Php 242 at Watsons) and Physiogel Calming Relief AI Cream (Php 719 at Watsons) ! 😲

Day 1 (10 Apr 2017) of using Physiogel Dermo-cleanser and AI cream, the dry skin already started to peel off.

Day 2 (11 Apr 2017) of using Physiogel Dermo-cleanser and AI cream, most of the dry skin on her cheeks have cleared up already.
